Joondanna Community Garden a not for profit community initiative which came into fruition by local community members along side The City of Stirling. It is a space for members of the local community to grow, learn and share organic garden practices. The garden is being designed to provide a wide range of activities for people of all abilities. The Joondanna Community Garden was the first in the City of Stirling. It is a demonstration site for sustainable living practices including:
• Local food production
• Waste minimisation and management
• Water conservation.
The garden provides a local space for residents to meet and share experiences on food gardening using organic principles and practices with an open all-inclusive environment for people and families to connect with their community.
